Classes
Classes are six weeks long and offered continuously throughout the year with registration happening 2-3 weeks before the start of the next session. Registration dates are announced via our newsletter and on our Instagram page. We try to offer a variety of classes at different times during the week so you can choose whichever class works best with your schedule. Classes are 2.5 hours long.

Access to Open Studio sessions. Open Studio sessions are first-come, first serve.

25 lb bag of new clay with option to purchase additional clay

Designated shelf to store work (approximately 18” wide x 36” long x 18” tall)

Glazes and firings included. No firing fees! All pieces are reduction fired to cone 10 by Wheelhouse staff.

Exclusions:
Tools are not included. We have some communal tools for shared use or you can purchase a basic toolkit from us for $15 during your first class. Students are not permitted take their wet work home or bring in outside work to the studio. No outside clay or glazes permitted - no exceptions.

Date Nights
Date Nights are one-time classes offered on select Saturday nights. They are two hours long and you get to keep up to 3 pieces. The instructor spends the first 20-30 minutes showing you a demonstration and then you will have the rest of the time to practice. There will be a selection of glazes to choose from. Wheelhouse staff will glaze and fire your work and it will be ready to pick up within 4-6 weeks. All clay and tools are provided. All you need to do is show up!

Kids Programs
Parent & Kids Clay Date: fun, one-time classes offered on Sunday afternoons from 3:00-4:30pm. Parents must attend with their child. Clay Dates are for kids aged 5-8 years old. Parents and kids will be guided through a fun hand built project and will have the chance to paint their creations with colored slips at the end of class. Everything is included, so all you need to do is show up! All participants will create their own projects. All work will be glaze fired by Wheelhouse staff and available for pick up 4-6 weeks later.

Kids' Clay Classes: Classes are four weeks long, with a hand building class for 8-11 year olds, and wheel throwing for 12-17 year olds. Students in the hand building class will create a different project each week, and will decorate the projects with color slips. Wheelhouse staff will glaze all pieces in a clear glaze. Students in the wheel throwing class will learn how to throw on the pottery wheel, trim their pieces, and will glaze their work in the final week. Registration dates are announced via our newsletter and on our Instagram page. Classes are 1.5 hours long.
